Our Founder/CEO

 

Jerome Carlos Johnson is a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas. He is a 1986 honors graduate of Green B. Trimble Technical High School. He received an Associate of Applied Sciences in Management from Tarrant County College, in addition to an Associate of Applied Sciences in Marketing. Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Johnson is very active in his community. He is a proud resident of the Highland Hills community, where his family has resided for 52 years. Johnson currently serves as President of the Highland Hills Neighborhood Association.

Additionally, Johnson is actively involved in several local committees and boards, including:

  • Member, City of Fort Worth Community Action Partners Advisory Board
  • Member, Housing Channel Board of Directors
  • Vice-Chair, Tarrant County Homeless Coalition Board of Directors
  • Member, Edward J. Briscoe Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Team
  • Former Chairman, City of Fort Worth Community Development Council
  • Former Member, Tarrant County Homelessness Continuum of Care Board of Directors (Co-Chair of Allocations Committee)
  • Former Member, Parenting Center Board of Directors
  • Former Chairman of Community Leadership Team, Southeast Fort Worth Healthier Communities Initiative
  • Former Executive Director, Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Johnson is happily married to Debra Walton-Johnson, a longtime banking professional. Together, they have two children, Julian and Zaria.
